Jump Start Service
Dead battery in a parking lot or on the side of the road. Flat-rate jump-start, often resolves the issue on-site.
More on Jump StartsLooking for an affordable tow truck near you in Detroit? Elite Detroit Towing runs flat upfront pricing, no time-of-day premiums, no AAA membership required. Average arrival 20–30 minutes across Wayne County. Call (313) 725-9795 for a free quote before we dispatch.
We’re cheaper for two reasons: no time-of-day premiums (the 3 a.m. rate equals the 3 p.m. rate) and no membership fees like AAA. We quote a flat rate on the phone before dispatching the truck, so you know the price before we move. Most local Detroit tows come in well under what you’d pay for a one-time AAA signup plus the tow itself.
The other reason: we’re owner-operated out of 8060 Tireman Ave in Detroit. No franchise fees, no call-center markup, no overflow dispatcher sitting in another state taking a cut. The price you get is the price the dispatcher quotes — nothing added on the back end.
Most affordable local tows in Detroit fall into a predictable pricing structure: a flat hookup fee (covers the truck arriving, hooking the vehicle, and the first few miles) plus a per-mile rate after that. The exact number we quote depends on three things: distance, vehicle type, and whether we need a flatbed.
| Tow type | What affects the price | Membership needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Local tow in Detroit (under 10 mi) | Flat hookup + miles | No |
| AWD or flatbed-required vehicle | Same flat rate as standard | No |
| After-hours, weekends, holidays | No premium — same price | No |
| AAA signup + a single tow | $80–$150 membership PLUS the tow itself | Yes (you pay both) |
| Junk car removal | FREE pickup — we pay you cash | No |
Call (313) 725-9795 with your location, vehicle, and destination — we give you the price before we move the truck. No surprises.
If you’re not already a AAA member, a one-time AAA call requires paying $80–$150 in annual membership on top of the tow. Calling a local Detroit tow truck directly — like us — skips the membership entirely. You only pay for the actual service.
If you ARE a AAA member, your “free” tow comes with a different cost: peak-hour wait times averaging 90 minutes or more. AAA dispatches through contracted third parties, and Detroit’s I-94 / Lodge corridor during a snowstorm can stack their queue past two hours. We dispatch direct from our own fleet, average 20–30 minutes.
Time has a price too — sitting on the shoulder of I-94 in February for ninety minutes is not free.
An affordable tow truck dispatch doesn’t always end in a tow. Most of our daytime calls are roadside fixes that cost a fraction of a full tow. We can come out and resolve the issue on the curb so you don’t need to be towed at all.

More on Tire ChangesThree things make the difference between an average tow price and the lowest possible Detroit tow quote:
It depends on three things: distance, vehicle type, and destination. We quote the exact flat rate on the phone before dispatching the truck. Most local Detroit tows fall in a predictable, affordable range — no time-of-day premium, no membership required, no hidden fees on arrival.
Some short-distance tows in Detroit can come in close to that range — particularly very short local hooks where the vehicle is being moved a mile or two. Call (313) 725-9795 with your exact pickup and drop-off and we’ll quote the flat rate. We won’t advertise a flat “$50” number we can’t honor — the real price depends on the route.
No. The flat hookup rate is the same at 3 a.m. on Christmas as it is at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. No premiums for nights, weekends, or holidays. The price you’re quoted on the phone is the price you pay on arrival.
No. If you’re not already a AAA member, paying for an annual membership to use one tow is almost always more expensive than calling a local Detroit tow truck directly. We bill on the spot, per service. If you ARE a AAA member, you’ll also save time — peak-hour AAA waits in Detroit average 90+ minutes.
The flat hookup rate is the same across all our service-area cities — Detroit, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Redford, Livonia, Westland, Taylor, Romulus, Hamtramck, Highland Park, Inkster, and Southfield. The only price difference is mileage if the tow runs longer than a standard local hookup.
No. Flatbed and wheel-lift cost the same on our rate sheet — we don’t penalize you for owning a Subaru, a Tesla, or a low-clearance sports car that needs a flatbed for safe transport. Same flat rate, no AWD or EV surcharge.
Flat upfront price. No membership, no night premium, no surprises.
